Born and raised in Sri Lanka, and having migrated to Canada in the 1990s to flee a civil war, Ram Anandappa is no stranger to the importance of paying it forward. It was his parents’ courageous decision to seek a better life for their family and the subsequent guidance he received from mentors in his life that have led to him to his successes today. And in particular it has been the role of influential figures in his life which have led him to pursuing entrepreneurship and philanthropy simultaneously, to ensure that he also has the opportunity to support as many young professionals as possible. As such, today while Ram is the President of R&R Group of Companies and Co-founder of RE/MAX Royal Properties and Mortgage Alliance - Mortgage Empire and Lend Ease Direct Mortgage Investment Corporation, he counts his role as Co-Founder of the SPVP Foundation to be one of his most important. A graduate of Centennial College’s System Network Technology program, Ram’
